All the staff at Haylands Pre-School are hold a current paediatric first aid certificate which can be found in pre-school. 

Our dedicated pre-school team, supporting the children in pre-school are:

• Ms E Moore – Pre-School Manager/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, Level 3 in Childcare. 
• Mrs E Roberts – Pre-School Deputy Manager, Level 3 in Childcare. 
• Miss C Diviney – Pre-School practitioner, Level 3 in Childcare. 
• Mrs H Ward – Pre-School practitioner, Level 3 in Childcare. 
• Miss T Spencer – Pre-School practitioner, Level 3 in Childcare.

Haylands Primary School staff, supporting the children in pre-school are:

• Mrs K Shaer – Headteacher/ Designated Safeguarding Lead. 
• Mrs J Clarke – Deputy Headteacher/ Designated Safeguarding Lead. 
• Ms E Platts – Early Years Lead.

Our pre-school team are all ‘key people’ for our pre-school children. The key person helps the child to feel known, understood, cared about and safe. Our key person role involves a triangle of trust with the child and family. Each child will be allocated their key person after two weeks of settling in and building relationships with the staff. The key person will carefully observe, assess and plan, providing appropriate next steps to help your child’s development and learning.
